And the Winner is...ME!

I was lucky enough to be the winner of a blog giveaway by the very gracious Cindy Houot  of Angelheart Designs. Cindy makes the most fun and creative ceramic pieces on the internet! I am the proud owner of a few of her wonderful designs - clocks, business card holder, inspirational and rose magnets and now these adorable cupcakes!
When I found that I had won one, I immediately had to buy another because with 2 young girls in my home, one just wouldn't do! I was so happy to do so because I know how wonderful Cindy's things are and I had a hunch my girls would love them too.  I was so right! Both Tessa and Bella love their cupcakes. And they decided among themselves (without any arguing at all) to switch the bottoms so that one would be completely green and the other completely pink. They were also fascinated by the lovely ribbons that Cindy tied onto the packages, and decided to store them inside of their cupcakes.

So you see, I am a winner in so many ways. Please take a moment (or two) and stop by to visit Cindy at Angelheart Designs - a talented artist, a generous soul, and a very sweet friend.

Be Dazzled!

Who could resist this treasure trove of lovelies? I found most of these baubles at a favorite antique shop. I try to visit there often and each time that I go, I find a new category of things that would fit right in with my latest projects or those spinning around in my mind. These vintage (or vintage inspired) sparklies are ready to adorn my latest line of floral accents: Posh Pots. I love to "accessorize" my flowers in unexpected ways with elegant ribbon and other lavish  accoutrements. I am working on the line now, look for them coming soon to my2roses.com

Show and Tell Monday !

I had a very busy weekend making lovelies for the my2roses website. I have listed a few items along with more of my popular tussies.  Any of these designs would make a lovely gift for a special friend or mother. I am featuring one of my favorite designs above. I really enjoyed my time back in the studio designing and hope to get back today to create even more things in various color schemes.  After I took the photo (above) I found the most wonderful vintage upholstery pin that I will be attaching to the front bow. This arrangement is definitely  a fresh approach to permanent florals!
